Iken Sail - Cornish Shrimper charter

‘Iken Sail’ provides the opportunity for you to charter our gaff-rigged Cornish Shrimper 19. If you are a competent sailor, with experience of handling this size of boat (22’ 6” with bowsprit), then she is available for half or full day charter within the estuary for up to four people max (no dogs permitted).

We can ‘show you the ropes’ regarding the gaff rig, and she comes complete with tanned-coloured main and jib sails, a 6hp Mariner outboard engine and a large cushioned cockpit seating area. The cabin is kitted out with a basic single-hob camping gas cooker, mugs/teaspoons, kettle, water, tea, coffee and sugar. You will need to bring your own picnic (and milk for tea/coffee). There is also a very basic portaloo on board!

Aldeburgh (5 miles) and Orford (10 miles) are within reach down river over the course of a half or full day’s charter respectively. Lifejackets are provided and must be worn.
